Karnataka Election: 53.00 percent voting till 03.00 PM

Karnataka recorded 53.00 percent voting till 03.00 PM. The voting will end at 06.00 PM today. Udupi and Bengaluru Rural districts recorded the highest turn out with 62 percent.Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, and Haveri registered 61 percent votes. Bangalore districts recorded the lowest turn out amongst 33 districts of the state. Bangalore (CENTRAL) and Bangalore (SOUTH) recorded the lowest turn out with 40 percent Bangalore North- 39 percent till 3.00 PM. On Friday, just a day before the polls, the Election Commission took the decision to defer elections in Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency, due to a large number of voter ID cards being seized by officers earlier on Tuesday. 
Brisk voting is underway in Karnataka as people have lined up to cast their votes early and escape the summer heat. Around 10.5 per cent votes were recorded by 9.15 am, the election commission told media.
