The First Indian woman to win prestigious fashion prize Ruchika Sachdev

Delhi-based designer Ruchika Sachdev has become the first Indian female designer to win prestigious Women's International Volker Award for the year 2017/2018 in Florence, Italy. IWP is the most desired award for emerging fashion designers. Many of the fashion industry's roles such as Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld are past scholars.

Ruchika impressed the judges with their unique method of watching the issue of consumer waste with the traditional techniques of regaling there. Excited with the victory, Ruchika said, "This is what I am doing and it is a great opportunity to continue."

Ruchika studied at the london england united kingdom College of Fashions and returned to India to launch her label Bodycos. He uses natural dying technology and employs local Indian artisans.
